Genesis Rochester Manor (New Hampshire), a We Honor Veterans Community Provider, had the distinct privilege to honor a few of our country’s bravest Vietnam War Veteran Service Members during National Vietnam War Remembrance Day! On March 29, 2021, the Genesis Rochester Manor Center Executive Director Teale Howe and her staff coordinated a “socially distanced” ceremony to honor eleven of Rochester Manor’s resident Vietnam Veterans. Ms. Howe ordered eleven Genesis Vietnam War Veteran hats and delivered one, along with a moment of reflection and gratitude, to each of her eleven resident Vietnam Veterans. Ms. Howe stated, “Some of our Veterans cried, some smiled that have not smiled in a while, and others were extremely touched. They were all so thankful and appreciative. One Veteran told us it was the best years of his life as he was able to travel the world”. Being a part of the We Honor Veterans Program supports Ms. Howe’s dedication to providing a Veteran-centric culture within Rochester Manor.
