Hospice Care of the Lowcountry (HCL), a level-three We Honor Veterans Partner, hosted a ceremony honoring one of their WWII Veterans. The Veteran, Mr. Dwight W. Many members from his church and community attended this event. Dwight received a We Honor Veterans pin, from four JROTC cadets from the Lowcountry’s Bluffton High School. In addition to a red, white blue blanket made from the local church’s prayer group, a booklet containing information about his life and a DVD from Honor Flight Savannah. HCL Veteran Volunteer Col. Mack McGahee also presented Mr. Blakeslee with the We Honor Veterans Certificate! Mr. McGahee then proceeded to give an informational PowerPoint about World War Two, a custom he has acquired for every ceremony honoring a Veteran patient.
