Bristol Hospice of Tucson hosted a Vet-to-Vet Café at Tucson, AZ VA

On the Friday morning, May 27th 2022, Bristol Hospice of Tucson, teamed up with the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration this past Friday in preparation for Memorial Day. The Bristol Hospice Team comprised of Volunteer Coordinator Raj Uprety and Administration volunteer Katherine Bourn who both helped to distribute breakfast items to the Veteran patients at the hospital. The two person team was lead by the amazing nurses and admin staff of the VA hospital, helped to distributed really nice and sentimental breakfast kits that honor and thank our veterans who served in combat. Together they met veterans who were dialysis patients, hematology patients, and veterans getting treated at the VA campus. The entire Bristol Breakfast event went swimmingly, and the agency will be partnering with the Veteran Administration during the Summer months again to help them establish a Veteran to Veteran Café in Southern Arizona.

The upcoming Veteran to Veteran Café is intended to serve as a community forum and meet up space for veterans of all branches of military. The event on Friday served as a information session for similar community resources and invitations to all veterans in Southern Arizona to join Bristol as they seek to establish and support veteran support groups in the area.
