By becoming a We Honor Veterans Partner, your hospice will be able to recognize the unique needs of America’s Veterans and their families as well as learn how to accompany and guide Veterans through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending. There are five levels your hospice can achieve in the We Honor Veterans program; to get started, your hospice must first enroll as a Recruit.
By becoming a We Honor Veteran Partner, hospices will be better prepared to:
- Build professional and organizational capacity to provide quality care for Veterans
- Develop and/or strengthen partnerships with VA and other Veteran organizations
- Increase access to hospice and palliative care for Veterans in their community
- Network with other hospices across the country to learn about best practice models
