Compassionate Care Hospice an Amedisys Company Honors World War II Veteran

World War II Veteran Ray Fuller with Veteran volunteer and family members.

Mr. Fuller was part of a mission called “Operation Magic Carpet”, “Home Alive by 45”. After the war was over, Mr. Fuller sailed on an air craft carrier picking up our service men and women from all the different countries, with mission of bringing them home by Christmas of 1945. Operation Magic Carpet lasted one year. With an average of brining home 22,222 service men and women a day.
