Genesis Rochester Manor WWII Marine Veteran Chosen for Honor Flight

A story from our Community Partner

Rochester Manor Genesis, Rochester, NH

Submitted by Kerry Onorato, Genesis Manager, Managed Care Business Development
WWII Veteran Constantin Chrysafidis and Teale Howe, executive director of the Rochester Manor

On September 12, 2021, Executive Director Teale Howe of Genesis Rochester Manor Center of New Hampshire accompanied WWII Veteran Constantin Chrysafidis on his honor flight to Washington DC.

Mr. Constantin Chrysafidis, a 96-year-old WWII Marine Veteran who currently lives at Rochester Manor, was chosen to participate in an Honor Flight to Washington DC. Honor Flight New England is part of the Honor Flight Network, which provides many of our nation’s veterans with an all-expenses-paid trip to the memorials in Washington, D.C., a trip many of our veterans may not otherwise be able to take. Participation in an Honor Flight trip gives veterans the chance to share this momentous trip with other veterans, remember friends and comrades lost, and share their stories and experiences.

To learn more about Mr. Chrysafidis trip view a local papers news article about him! https://www.fosters.com/story/news/local/2021/09/15/rochester-nh-wwii-veterans-trip-d-c-brings-tears-his-eyes-constantin-chrysafidis/8318392002/
