The North Texas Hospice Veteran Partnership (HVP) helped out at a Car Parade at Saddle Brook Memory Care in Frisco, Texas. They celebrated Veteran Burnie Sutter’s 100th Birthday; it was a big hit with cars, and, motorcycles waving flags and signs. The Mayor of Frisco and other representatives were there to honor Burnie for his WWII achievements; he received the French Legion Medal of Honor.
The National Alliance for Care at Home and We Honor Veterans celebrate the Dole Act becoming law as it ensures that families of terminally-ill Veterans receiving VA-furnished hospice care - wherever they call home - retain access to their full VA burial allowance. Read the statement.
