Coronavirus FAQs including payments, claims, status of VA national cemeteries and burials, and Coronavirus-specific concerns

The VA has many free mental health apps including Mood Coach, Mindfulness Coach, and COVID Coach that was created for everyone, including Veterans and Servicemembers, to create self-care and overall mental health during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Veterans Crisis Line is available 24/7 to anyone who is a Veteran or concerned about one – call 1-800-273-8255 and press 1; Text 838255; TTY call 1-800-799-4889; or start a confidential chat.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is free, confidential, and available 24/7 for anyone in distress and their loved ones, also provides resources and best practices for professionals. Call 1-800-273-TALK (8255); En Español 1-888-628-9454; TTY 1-800-799-4889; or start a confidential chat.

Physician Support Line is a national, free and confidential support line made up of volunteer psychiatrists to provide support during COVID. Call (888) 409-0141 8am – 3am (EST) 7 days a week.

VitalTalk COVID Communication Playbook is a guide for communicating with families and patients with specific examples covering a range of scenarios. Available for download in multiple languages.
