VA Office of Geriatrics and Extended Care Presents: The Role of the Chaplain in Palliative and Hospice Care

This live, interactive webinar will address the knowledge gap about the training, role, and services a chaplain brings to an interprofessional palliative care team and the Veterans they serve. This presentation will describe the education and training of chaplains, the role they serve in VA clinical settings specifically hospice and palliative care, and how they conduct a spiritual screening, spiritual assessment, and treat spiritual pain.
