This two-day live virtual course is designed for healthcare clinicians and community members caring for Veterans facing serious or life limiting illness. The program will provide the learner with the competence and confidence to provide optimal care to Veterans and families facing end of life. Course content includes eight educational modules including Palliative Nursing Care; Pain Management; Symptom Management; Communication; Culture and Spirituality; Final Hours; Loss, Grief, and Bereavement; Self-Care and Resilience.

This course is being offered without charge to healthcare providers and community partners who care for Veterans at end-of-life. Participants must attend all 8 modules over 2 days, complete all course evaluations, and a pre and post self-efficacy survey to receive 15 contact hours and a certificate.
