WHV & Opus Peace Webinar: Bereavement Support for Veterans and their Loved Ones

In this webinar, WHV welcomes back Opus Peace founder, Deborah Grassman NP, and Opus Peace Executive Director, Angie Snyder MSN, MHA for a presentation that highlights the special circumstances surrounding grief and the military that you may not know about. Opus Peace is the only non-profit educational organization that specializes in identifying and addressing Soul Injury – a wound that disconnects people from their real self.

Veterans and their families need the same things that non-veterans and their families need when a loss is experienced: comfort, sympathy, emotional support of friends and family, knowledge, coping skills, time, and healing. But the military culture creates special grief needs as well.

This webinar discusses:

  • Bereavement issues surrounding the military
  • Complicated grief
  • Unique experience of Veteran caregivers
  • Case examples of navigating grief impacted by military service
  • Introduction of tools and strategies for providers

Does this webinar provide continuing education credits?
