WHV Webinar: Identifying Clinically Meaningful Moral Injury Among Veterans at End-of-Life

In this webinar, Dr. Brandon Griffin, clinical psychologist and investigator with the Center for Mental Healthcare and Outcomes Research (CeMHOR) at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, presents on his study “Using the Moral Injury and Distress Scale to identify clinically meaningful moral injury.” Dr. Griffin studies the effectiveness and implementation of interventions that promote mental health and prevent suicide in Veterans, and he is nationally recognized for his work focused on the conceptualization, assessment, and treatment of moral injury. Dr. Griffin is joined by Todd McKee, M.Div. and Program Manger of the PTSD Consultation Program at the National Center for PTSD.

This webinar discusses:

  • Review of moral injury
  • Discussion of necessity of identifying clinically meaningful moral injury
  • Introduction of the Moral Injury and Distress Scale (MIDS)
  • Presentation of findings & discussion of implications for practice with Veterans at end of life
  • Review of support available to providers through the PTSD Consultation Program
